Didn't realize that. Good catch. So, on the PS4, any DLC you downloaded on one account won't work if you play the game on another account? They have to be the same region as the account that purchased it though obviously. KDogg posted I just got a PS4 today, and my brother's had one for awhile, and we had just assumed we'd be able to do like what we did on the PS3 together.
I wish I had known sooner I learned the hard way on Sunday night when PSN was down on the east coast. Bought my sis a PS4 for Black Friday. Made her PS4 the primary we live in the same building so she got enjoy some of the games I had.
Makes absolutely no sense to buy the same games when we live in the same house. Maybe someone else knows better. At the Sony Website you can sign in and hit the Activate a Device button.

As per this FAQ, your account should be the only one activated; is your wife's account her own, or a sub-account? When we first got the console, I had activated the PS4 under my account You can only change it so many times per year without having to call Sony and explain your situation and have them do it. If your wife's account is the primary activated there, she may have to buy DLC for both of you to be able to use it.
