You can download full-resolution copies of photos from iCloud onto your Mac through the Photos app on Mac. Before we do that, please make sure you have enabled iCloud Photos in the Photos app on your Mac. As is well known, iCloud can be used to store various data on your iOS devices. Among these data, your photos and videos may take up most of the storage in iCloud. When you turn on iCloud Photos, your photos and videos will be automatically uploaded to iCloud.
You may wonder where can your photos and videos be stored since the iCloud Photos has been disabled. Launch iCloud on your system to view how much storage is left. You can get to know about it from the welcome screen. To further manage the storage, simply click on the "Manage" button which is adjacent to the storage status.

If you don't want to lose anything, then simply expand the storage. This can be done by buying more space on iCloud. Just click the "Buy More Storage" button and select the desired plan to expand your iCloud storage. There are times when due to the scarcity of space, users also wish to uninstall or turn off iCloud on Windows.
You can turn off the iCloud feature temporarily or uninstall it from your computer as well. To turn off iCloud, just launch its interface on your system. Now, simply disable the syncing of the services that you wish to turn off.
In iCloud. You can also use it on your Mac unlike the other two alternatives. However, iCloud. Go to iCloud browser version and log in using your Apple ID. Select each photo and tap on the cloud icon in the top right corner to download images one by one from your iCloud account to the computer.
